Are you an Android user? Did you subscribe to the MTN Balckberry subscription and you notice that is no more working on your Android device? This post has made easy for you to continue enjoying your MTN blackberry subscription on your Android device. Without much talk, just follow the below procedure to get it done.
How To Browse With Your MTN Blackberry Subscription on Android
1} Visit Google play store and download tun.koinstaller
2} Run the tun.ko and check the highlighted boxes then click install

Once you are done with the above, complete the steps below.
1. Download DroidVPN App from Google play.
2. Then register an account from their site at http://droidvpn.com/signup.php, you will use the account you registered to sign into your DroidVPN app.
3. Now open the DroidVPN and click on Settings, click on Connection Protocol and select ICMP
4. Make sure your MTN blackberry plan is active with blackberry.net as the apn
5. Open DroidVPN and connect, it will give you two servers you can use for free.
6. Once it's connected, minimize it and open your browser or any internet enabled app and connect.
NOTE: You can't use more than 100mb per day worth of data on DroidVPN because you are a free registered user or better still upgrade to premium user so to use it unlimited!! And this only works for Rooted Androids. If your Android phone is not rooted, it won't work for you.
Feel free to share/like this post with your friends and you can also use this DroidVPN to give your PC and other device internet acess from your phone via ''USB Tether'', Bluetooth Tethering and Wifi hostpot. which i will explain in my future posts, so, Subscribe Now, if you don't want to miss the tips.

Why You Should Root Your Android Smartphone.
DeleteYou may have heard many versions of why it is good or bad to root your Smartphone. Before we proceed any further the first thing that you should know about the rooting of Android Smartphones its that it affords you total administrative rights to make a backup or custom set the boot image or even put in Linux distro. It makes sense to root even if you are not that technologically savvy. This is because the options that will open up to you will make things more interesting for you. The reasons that argue the side of rooting your Android Smartphone, are listed out below:
Root Your Android Smartphone
1. Lots of applications
Rooting your device will allow you to have more and better quality applications and let you do many things that the manufacturers or gamers or Google will not allow. It is not as if Google Play offers you many applications. This way you have more choice and more possibilities in from of you.
2. Bloatware
This is something that you will find on many Smartphones though useful they are not that special. In fact they are known to hinder performance and restrict certain device features. But rooting the Smartphone will let you have complete control over all hardware components that tend to overlook. Normally you will find that a 1 gigahertz CPU can be overclocked up to 1.66 gigahertz. This way you will be able to access applications that can manage the Overclocking and also the underwriting.
3. Backups
When you fine tune your device then you may not always get the result you were looking for. It is likely that things could go wrong in such a scenario. Having a backup will help when things go wrong. You can use the backup to start over. Applications like Titanium backup will let you simply backup the applications and settings. This application will start functioning dependent on whether the device has been rooted. This is so because the folder containing all the installed applications can be accessed with higher level privileges. You will also find it extremely convenient when you install ROMs that are customized for reinstating applications without going through the rigmarole of downloading them once more and starting all over.
4. Customization
Of the many reasons that Android is so sought after by its users is due to the level of customization that is possible due to the operating system. When you take the pains to root your device then you can take to another and more advanced level. You can make use of custom ROMs to do a total and complete overhaul. GMD Gesture Control will also enable you to navigate with the use of gestures. This can be used to move back and forward between one keyboard and another. This will let you add a lot of advanced features including widgets from the notification bars. You can also modify the way the features look or act and many other things once the Smartphone is rooted.
You may find a lot of information about rooting that argues both sides. Some will support it and some may disdain it. But if you do decide to go with the decision to root your Android Smartphone then there will be no dearth of possibilities. You can go through both sides of the argument and make a decision. It will be entirely dependent on what you want to do with your Android Smartphones. This article will help you make an informed decision that will ensure the best use of your Smartphone to maximize all its features.
please can you explain more about the term "ROOTED" because i couldn't change the settings of my droidVpn to ICMP
ReplyDeleteThanks
What is Rooting and Unrooting in Android Mobile?
DeleteThere are lots of reasons why people get android phone and one is, its power and ability to customize the heck out of it. But that doesn’t mean that other platform are not good and customizable. Android offers users the ability to tweak its overall look just with the use of Widgets, Home Screen Launcher and other features which you can download from Google Play Store.
But sometimes these features get failed to provide deeper customization and this is where “rooting” comes in. If you are Android phone users then I’m sure that you’ve read about this term over web on a different website. But if you are a new Android user and still don’t know the exact meaning of rooting in android, then this article is surely your cup of tea. In this article we are going to discuss about the meaning of rooting and unrooting in android.
What is Rooting?
Rooting is a process allowing users of Smartphone’s, tablets, and other devices running the Android operating system to attain privileged control (known as “root access”) within Android’s subsystem. Basically rooting is performed to overcome the limitation that wireless service providers and hardware manufacture of android phone put on some devices. If your android mobile is rooted that means you are super users on your android cell phone and you got ability to customize or replace system application and setting the way you want to do. This little word rooting provide you power to run specialized apps that require administrator-level permissions and perform another operation which are inaccessible to a normal android.
Rooting is analogous to jailbreaking devices running the Apple iOS operating system or the Sony PlayStation 3
Why is it called Rooting?
Basically “root” term comes from the Unix/Linux world which is used to describe a user who has “superusers” rights or permission to all the files and programs in the Android OS.
DeleteWhat is Unrooting
Unrooting is the reverse process of rooting in which you unroot your phone and return it to stock. This process gives your warranty back which gets void after your rooted your android mobile
Advantages of Rooting Android Mobile
Many people are unaware about rooting, they don’t even know what they can do with rooting android mobile. Below are going to share with you some of advantages which you are going to get after your device get rooted.
1. Custom Software (ROM’s)
If you have superusers rights means you can install Custom ROM’s on your android cell phone. Basically custom Rom is own version of Android, a new Operating System which is developed by developers. Using these ROM’s you can alter your Smartphone experience, it changes the color of your icons, app dock, an app menu etc. With custom rooms you can uncap the full potential of your Smartphone which a normal user can’t get.
2. Custom Themes

4. Speed and Performance
We all know that kernels are behind the performance of the processor of your Smartphone. So if you change the kernel version, you can change your processor and that will also improve the speed and performance of your Smartphone.
5. Increasing Battery life.
There are many apps specially made for rooted devices which access system settings and increase the device’s battery life by optimizing it to a great extent.
6. Installing Unsupported apps
There are lots of apps which are not supported by your device, but after rooting your Smartphone you can install them by editing your build.prop file.
7. Backing Up your device.
After rooting your Smartphone you can also install a custom bootloader and perform a nandroid backup of your device. It is a backup which when restored, restores your device to the same state as it was during performing the backup.
So these are the advantages and benefits which you are going to get when you root your Android Smartphone. But if you feel I missed any good advantage then feel free to share with us.
Disadvantages of rooting Android Phone
But if rooting a device has advantages, it also has some disadvantages which you can read below
1. Bricking
The number one reason not to root your device is the potential risk of “bricking” it. As mentioned earlier, “bricking” your device means screwing up your phone software so badly that your phone can no longer function properly and is pretty much as useless as a brick.
2. Loose Warranty
You would likely need to purchase a new Android device from the manufacturer of your device will void the warranty after any attempts at rooting. But you can get your guarantee back by restoring (reinstall) a stock build recovery and to un-root
3. Malicious Software
